This state-mandated course is required for individuals between the ages of 18 and 20.
Per the State of Ohio this program is divided into two components: 24 hours of classroom instruction (available online or in person) and 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training.

We partner with and highly recommend 2 Cool Traffic School to offer the most engaging and interactive online education possible for your student.
We do not require online class students to have this program completed prior to signing up for in-cars; we recommend signing up for both, online classroom and in-cars at the same time.

8-hours Behind-the-Wheel
At 1st Choice, students are scheduled within 1-2 weeks from date orientation is completed and all require documents are submitted to our office.
We will break the 8 hours of behind the wheel into four, two hour in-car lessons. When it is your turn to schedule, you will have the flexibility to choose the dates and times that work best for your family. Most students opt for either two lessons per week over two weeks or one lesson per week over four weeks.

How to Enroll
It is a two-step process to get your student enrolled and begin your exciting journey with 1st Choice.
>First, we will need a registration form. This form is located at the very bottom of our homepage. Please fill out in its entirety and submit.
Please note: This form asks for parent information. As an adult, you may enter your information twice or list an emergency contact
>Next, you will need to submit payment for either our " In-person Classroom/Drive Training" or our "In-car Driver Training For Online Students".
Please note for in person class students: The 8 hours of behind the wheel are included in this package.
Please note for online class students: This package includes only the 8 hours of behind the wheel. You will need to register/pay for your online class separately.

Once our office has received both registration and payment you will receive our confirmation/next steps email within 1-3 business days.
