1st Choice is proudly certified by and partnered with the Ohio BMV as a 3rd party provider to conduct state license tests. 1st Choice has been providing the highest quality tests to customers since 2022. We are excited to announce that as of 2025 we have expanded our testing services into its very own Testing Center! Ohio Driver Testing LLC; located right next door at 77 Orange Wick Dr N, Lewis Center OH, 43035. At Ohio Driver Testing LLC we conduct test for both our students at 1st Choice and the general public. Please see all test information below.

Scheduling Your Driver's Test
1st Choice
Students
As a student of 1st Choice, you have the opportunity to get your test date on our Calendar sooner; students may schedule via phone, email or in office any time after they have completed their first drive lesson.

Please be advised: Students MUST schedule through 1st Choice's office. Students are not permitted to schedule for our location through the Ohio BMV website. Students who do so will have their appointment rescheduled.

Please be advised: If you require a drivers' ed course prior to attempting your test, we schedule the same as the BMV; you cannot schedule until your drivers' ed completion certificate is in the State system.

Testing Information
1st Choice
Students
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and make sure you have your permit. We will have your certificate and all necessary documents already here; you will receive these documents after signing in.
All tests are conducted in a 1st Choice vehicle.
Fees are payable the day of your test by cash or card.
General Public
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Make sure you have your permit and any required paperwork, i.e., certificate from driving school and/or affidavit.
You may provide your own vehicle for no charge or rent a 1st Choice vehicle for $15.
Please be advised: All vehicles must pass an inspection to ensure safety.
Fees are payable the day of your test by cash or card.
